Jonas Arnout is Project Manager for Management Information & Systems (MI&S). As a specialist in business intelligence, he participates in the rollout of reporting systems for the client. Although IT is an important part of his job, his economic background is especially decisive. It enables him to accurately detect the customer’s needs and then implement the right analytical tools.
Substantive participation with the client
It all started when Jonas took an Excel course taught by a TriFinance consultant. “Such training courses are not always of the same level, but this one was really good. This positive impression convinced me a while later to start working at TriFinance.”
At MI&S, Jonas combines business knowledge with technical skills. “That knowledge of the business is crucial. After all, technology must always serve the right solution. We can discuss the content with the customer and then really give them what they need.”
“With business knowledge and technical insight, we prepare customers for the future”
Jonas, Project Manager at TriFinance
Unburdening clients with strong teams
If you look at Jonas’ colleagues within MI&S, you’ll notice that hardly anyone comes from the IT world. “Most of them have a background in economics. To start at MI&S, what counts above all are your drive and your analytical mind: we will teach you the technical skills. Thanks to the experience and drive of our team, we can always spot the problem and immediately develop the right solution. Unburdening the customer and preparing for the future: that's what it's all about.”
MI&S is certainly an interesting environment for senior profiles, emphasizes Jonas. “In our team, you often deal with more complex projects at the intersection of business insight and technological innovation. Moreover, the junior and senior colleagues in our teams complement each other well. I myself have 10 years of work experience: more complex issues, such as extracting data from databases, often end up with me.”
The atmosphere within the teams is also great. "We trust each other and like to help everyone move forward. If you have a problem, you can always approach a colleague. There is certainly no stiff competition or office politics here; nobody wants to see you fail.”
Continuously sharpening knowledge and skills
Personal development is clearly in the DNA of TriFinance for Jonas: "You get the space to find out which direction suits you best and to sharpen your skills. For example, I took a fascinating course to develop my management skills. It focused, among other things, on effective communication with different types of people."
TriFinance also continues to invest heavily in growth and training within MI&S. "For example, we followed Mastering Dax with our team, the best course to master the programming language Dax. It is clear that you become stronger and stronger in your field here. Quite a few colleagues have already grown into specialists in Microsoft tools, for example."
Room for initiative
If you have the drive to go for something, you can, Jonas states. "That's how I got time to get my Azure certificate. TriFinance is an environment for people who like to take initiative. Empowerment is not just a word here. Here, you get the space to shape your career. Of course, you have to be self-reliant and take your fate into your own hands. At the same time, you can count on all the support you need to move forward, without any patronizing."
